Times Up, a band from Pontypool, have made it to the number one spot on the official UK unsigned charts.
Times Up, from Pontypool, hit the coveted spot with their song Vendetta.
The track entered the chart, which is based on downloads and website plays, at number three in late November before getting to number one four weeks ago.
Then there was an anxious wait to see if it would stay there before it was announced as the Christmas number one on Sunday night.
The band was formed in November 2006 and is made up of four members - Geoff Smith, lead vocals and keyboards, Andy Gibbon, on bass guitar, Mike Hagland, on lead guitar and Steve LeMan, on drums. Mike Plays a Campbell American Nelsonic Transitone. More info at  www.timesupband.co.uk/
