Campbell American Guitars

Fretted, Fretless, and Microtonal Guitarist, Composer, Arranger, and Producer Simon C.F. Yu was born in Hong Kong, Feb 14 1987.
At 17, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts to attend the Berklee College of Music where he studied with David Fiuczynski, Tim Miller, Mick Goodrick, Joe Lovano, George Garzone, Adam Rogers, Dodo Toru, Alain Mallet, David Gilmore, Rick Peckham, Dave Santoro, Ed Tomassi, Hal Crook, and Steve Rochinski.

He graduated in Dec 2007 after majoring in Performance, Contemporary Writing and Production. He moved to Manhattan, New York on Spring 2008.
He is recognized as one of the most cutting edge composers /performers creating a hybrid blend of traditional Chinese/Contemporary Western  music.

He performs worldwide with his group the Simon Yu’s Jazz/Funk Experiment Trio
