Thom Moran is the singer and guitarist for Bon Savants, a Boston band that deals in sophisticated, anthemic indie rock described by the LA Times as having "heady stylings of the likes of the National, Spoon and Magnetic Fields, textured just enough to command attention."  Their 2007 debut "Post Rock Defends the Nation" was enthusiastically received by critics at Billboard, URB, Spin and The Onion among many others. Thom was named "Boston's Best Male Vocalist" by the Boston Phoenix and WFNX reader's poll in 2006 and 2007, and the band was nominated for "Best Pop Act" by the Boston Music Awards in 2007.  He plays a Transitone through a Tone King amp with mostly custom made effects pedals.  Thom works part-time at MIT as a research engineer and in his spare time enjoys writing about himself in the third person.
